Manage the day to day operation of the Domestic Chassis Pool in the Southeast Region: Project allocations for all approved rail terminals using Customer forecasts & historical usage, maintain essential inventory levels at those locations based on the projections, ensure utilization targets are met, manage re-allocation of inventory to fund the rail locations based on changes in funding requirements. Manage costs to stay within or under budget for Positioning &Handling budget. Work with Maintenance & Repair to prioritize repairs based on Customer demand. Interface with Customers, Terminal Operators, Rail Operators, Motor Carriers, and others as required to ensure operational efficiency maintaining appropriate chassis inventories. Enterprise Location Master is the base in which other location information can be built upon, such as route generation and equipment hub management. It also contains Geographical Hierarchy, UN Location / ISO based location coding, Organizational Hierarchy for the client's Liner division, Schedule D Customs district and port codes to support foreign trade, Schedule K classification of foreign ports by geographic trade area and country.The scope of the project is worldwide, covering > 50,000 cities and sites throughout more than 140 countries.
