Global communities and its partners are implementing a 5-years U.S. Department of Agriculture, McGovern-Dole International Food for Education and Child Nutrition Program, “Pamoja Tuwalishe” in Dodoma and Mara regions of Tanzania. The program works in collaboration with the government of Tanzania and other stakeholders to strengthen the school feeding system, improve overall education experience for students in 351 schools and build technical program approach models that can be replicated in additional schools and communities.My role:- Provide overall leadership, technical and managerial oversight of the 28.5m USD - Pamoja Tuwalishe project with a team of 63 program staff, i.e. Development of work plans, reports, implementation plans, documenting and replicating successful models to create sustainable scaling of these practices. - Coordinate all engagement with the Government of Tanzania at all levels, USDA, local and international partners. - Provide support to partner’s planning, executing, and documentation of project activities, ensure timely and high-quality achievement of targets and deliverables.- Conduct regular site visits to observe project progress, supervise data quality assessments and obtain feedback from participants and stakeholders. - Use principles of adaptive management and data-driven continuous improvement processes and develop appropriate responses to solve challenges under tight deadlines while ensuring operational inter gritty and project impact.

Zanzibar, Tanzania

“Make it Grow” is a horticulture project funded by European Development Funds (EDF/EU) under AGRI-CONNECT, for the period of 4 years in Zanzibar – Tanzania, implemented by TRIAS in partnership with Tanzania Horticulture Association (TAHA) and Andreas Hermes Akademie (AHA). The goal for the action is to contribute to more employment and increased incomes for small-holder horticulture (HC) farmers (particularly women 60% and youth 40%), secure markets and improved nutrition & food security amongst the population of Zanzibar, while building professional relationships/linkages between farmers and other value chain actors and institutional capacity of TAHA for sustainability.Achievements• Coordinated a 5M. euro program with a team of 21 program staff, ensuring compliance with donor regulations and providing monitoring and reporting. • Oversaw the implementation of the 5M euro program, surpassing beneficiary targets by reaching 17,000 individuals and maintaining budget control. • Acted as a liaison between the EU, Ministry of Agriculture in Zanzibar, and Ministry of Finance in the Mainland. • Established Trias in Zanzibar, recruited program teams, mapped intervention areas, secured 100% equipment exemptions, and facilitated partnerships for synergy. • Provided leadership and support across seven thematic areas, including business development, access to finance, agronomy, nutrition, markets, gender, and inclusion, impacting 3300 farmers and facilitating access to finance and export markets for 150 value chain actors.

End-to-end project leader for a 5years program funded by Gates Foundation, to end maternal mortality in Tanzania through advocating for adequate resources and a supportive policy environment to prevent needless death of women and newborn babies, while holding governments and politicians to account for their promises of action. Achievements:- Provided leadership to a 7M. USD program with a team of 16 program staff, ensuring compliance with donor regulations and providing monitoring and reporting.• Improved donor outreach and fundraising strategies to generate 56% increase of National budget allocated towards maternal health. • Motivated and inspired leaders from 3 regions with high maternal mortality rates to allocate 10% of own source to maternal health programs through donor-centric and outcome driven communications. • Increased the coalition's membership engagement by 50% including Parliamentarian leaders involved in Tanzania’s Safe Motherhood group. • Amplified impact of organizational programs by networking and forming coalition to advocate for quality of care, maternal health, and citizen-led government.

SIFPO 2, a USAID-funded project implemented by Marie Stopes Tanzania, aimed to increase access to family planning and sexual reproductive health services for Tanzanian youth under 25, through collaboration with government authorities. Responsibilities included coordinating project strategy, budget, and stakeholder communications, while also leading grant-writing efforts and collaborating on fundraising initiatives for donor engagement and financial projections.Achievements:- Provided leadership to a 6M. USD program with a team of 21 program staff, ensuring compliance with donor regulations and providing monitoring and reporting.- Transformed organizational culture and advocated for innovative environment by introducing human-centered design thinking, resulting in changes to program strategy that increased demand for family planning by 80% among youth constituent group.- Administered full grant cycle process including grant writing, compliance, and reporting. • Audited and improved messaging and community engagement activities yielding 80% increased support from religious community leaders for youth’s rights to family planning. • Engaged and mobilized peer and community volunteers to reduce overhead expenses and project budget by over 30%.

Tasked with program coordination responsibilities for a 5years advocacy and communication project funded by USAID and implemented by The Tanzania Capacity and Communication . Created program activities in line with desired outcomes and overall budget. Increased engagement by creating marketing and communication collateral. Utilized data and analytics from campaign performance to monitor and adjust tactics to align with annual research plan for Green Start Family Planning, Malaria, and HIV Campaigns. Achievements:• Ensured the successful implementation of the Malaria project across the country (Tanzania). • Improved overall health of population by executing a Vector works pilot project in two regions with high Malaria prevalence rate, distributing free mosquito nets in schools and health care centers. • Amplified media outreach activities with a net increase of 95% using a portfolio-based strategy that combined both local and traditional media channels.

Led the implementation of program and project-level activities funded by USAID through the Tanzania Capacity and Communication Project. Facilitated capacity building efforts by analyzing needs, determining resources, socializing insights with key stakeholders, and producing relevant documentation. Provided training, courses, and educational collateral for Government on topics related to leadership in strategic health communication. Collaborated with the Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly, and Children, partners as mentors and interns on various aspects of project implementation. Achievements:• Succeeded in meeting strategic capacity building objectives for over 300 participants in Leadership and Strategic Health Communication program, with 98% reporting a transformation in thinking and empowerment post-training. • Contributed to an 80% employment rate for interns and recent graduates of the program with partner organizations. • Impacted 1 public health institution to such a degree that the senior leadership team decided to adopt the Leadership in Strategic Health Communication modules in their curriculum.

Voices for a Malaria Free Future was a pioneering Malaria advocacy project that worked to galvanize governments and partner organizations toward effective malaria control. Malaria endemic country advocacy emphasized increased political will, improved policies, stronger management and coordination. With funds from Bill and Melinda Gates foundation, Voices for a MalariaFree Future lead an integrated international campaign of advocacy activities to incite and complement advances toward malaria eradication. Achievements- Recruited up to 65 partners who adopted the Malaria safe initiatives as part of their CSR strategies. - Succeeded in getting a government buy in by 100%.- Reached over 14 million Tanzanians with Malaria messages through football matches.
