Provided a stable home for a teen with an infant. Rewarding, yet exhausting!

Drive acquired products to market with Cisco as soon as possible after the acquisition, while managing quality, security and intellectual property risks. Developed training on Cisco development and go-to market best practices, advised senior management on integration risk factors and worked with a cross-functional team to accelerate successful product delivery.

Drove customer satisfaction with the overall Cisco VoIP solution by coordinating development, testing, documentation and delivery of system-level features across multiple products produced in different business units. Focused initially on service providers, shifted to enterprise customers.

At the forefront of an emerging technology, voice and video over IP. Built a team of Product Managers each of whom managed a major area of functionality in what grew from nothing to a half-billion dollar business in a handful of years.

Launched the Ascend MAX, which transformed public internet access and became a staple at all three of the biggest US Internet access providers at the time. Trained sales team, created VAR marketing materials.

Learned product management OTJ at this early Internet company. After a year of direct sales, marketed via email newsletters, created a User Group and annual User Conference.

Supervised a staff of student and full-time consultants, providing help desk support, selling Macintoshes, IBM PS2s, NEXT machines (yup!) and so on to the students and faculty and repairing machines, mostly using former mainframe operations people.
