Vicky has worked in the community development sector for 16 years, gaining direct experience in organizational leadership, resource and community development, grant and program management and evaluation, public relations and community engagement. Vicky has raised $33.5 million and managed a total of $71 million in grant programs. She has worked with diverse communities and organizations in Afghanistan, Middle East region, United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Horn, East and Central Africa region, primarily in international humanitarian response and community development, program management and working with diverse donors. Currently, Vicky is a program officer at the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, where she serves on the foundation’s Racial Equity and Community Engagement team. She is responsible for developing and coordinating strategic grantmaking activities aimed at addressing racial equity, community engagement, and nurturing opportunities for positive systemic change for historically marginalized communities and vulnerable children.Most recently, Vicky served as the regional program development and funding coordinator for Oxfam Great Britain's - Middle East region, where she supported countries with the development of quality programming and resource mobilization strategies for the Syria Crisis response. She has served as the regional roving funding coordinator at Oxfam Great Britain – Horn, East and Central Africa Regional Centre in Nairobi, Kenya; and funding and business development manager at Oxfam Great Britain in Kabul, Afghanistan. Previously, Vicky served as the director of communications at First Nations Development Institute. She was responsible for working with the president and vice president on devising the organization’s communications strategy. Also, Vicky worked for the American Indian College Fund for ten years as a resource development advisor and gained experience working with corporate, individual, foundation and tribal donors.
