I am a professional educator with strong experience of facilitating professional development. I love to facilitate, to get people talking and sharing their experiences. None of us has all the right answers, and good facilitation can really get learners talking and sharing their knowledge and best practices. I also believe that it is vital to get learners to have as much relevant practical experience within a training session as possible, so if they are trying to understand finance, they need to understand it in the context of their role, if they are trying to improve their presentation skills, they should practice, in the session, a presentation they are actually going to give.As an associate I am enjoying the opportunity to work with different industry sectors. While they may have differing training needs, overall many are linked to effective communication, which underlies a lot of training programmes. So many training events require effective communication, from the obvious (Presentation Skills, Selling Skills) to the less obvious - even in Finance for non-Financials, participants need to be able to communicate effectively about Finance, both to the finance professionals in their organisations, and to their teams. My roles have given me a wide variety of training skills and experiences which has expanded further on working as an associate. Due to my chartered accounting background, I have developed and run effective training programs to help non-financial managers understand the basics of finance. I use my facilitation skills to ensure this financial knowledge is delivered in a way that is relevant to the participants, so they gain relevant skills that will help them perform more effectively in their roles. I am an excellent communicator and facilitator and I am accredited trainer for both the Strength Deployment Inventory and the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People.
