As an IT Manager at Time Warner Cable Sports I was responsible for building and managing a top notch infrastructure that allowed our clients to succeed in the video broadcasting world. Infrastructure ran on 80% virtual. Our Team was responsible for all IT needs and requirements to keep the business and channel stable 24/7. We designed a virtual environment with VMware vSphere and 3PAR storage technologies. We hosted all virtual servers on some high performance HP blade servers. The virtual environment opened our eyes in understanding the advantages around saving space, power and cooling inside our data center.

E! Networks a Programming Division for the Comcast Entertainment Group. I was responsible for maintaining and managing the Citrix Presentation 4.0 farms for both the E! Networks and Comcast Networks sales division. Also responsible for AS400 OS upgrades and patches, as well as BMS software upgrades. I’ve re-architect and design the Citrix server environment running on IBM Blade Center servers hosting VMWare ESX. I planned software upgrades, testing and load balance of business applications like TransAct, Medea, Great Plains, DealMaker and GRiPit on our Citrix farms. Monitoring of Citrix performances via Citrix Resource Manager and OpManager monitoring tools and load balance virtual machines across different SAN LUNs for DR purposes.

At Hallmark Channel I was in charge of managing the Networking and Technical Support staff in our Los Angeles and Chicago offices with over 200 employees. Responsible for coordinating and making decisions on corporate rollouts, maintenance outages, network infrastructure upgrades and changes in a multi-site environment. I had four direct reports under me in which positions range from Technical Support Administrators to Network and Systems Engineers. I reported directly to the Vice-President of IT at Crown Media Holdings and together we work on implementing new policy rollouts, project management and staff goals.

In this environment I was in charge of administrating, managing and maintaining a Windows NT/2000 network with over 1,000 users across an enterprise WAN, including offices in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles. I was also part of a network team that helped design and relocate the E! Channel from its old facilities into new corporate site location. The experience and knowledge learned at the E! Channel gave me the proper tools to grow into a Senior Network Administrator role.
