Hi! I am Victor, a mechanical engineering student at McMaster University currently in my third year of study. I am active both in and outside of classroom and I have been practicing this ideology since high school. I attended a wide range of clubs, sports teams and do photography as a side job to enlarge my network and meet new people. I am currently the manufacturing lead of McMaster Rocketry team. I work closely with team members to manufacture the rocket and seek potential design improvements that can simplify the manufacturing process. I am also a member of the McMaster Baja Racing team, we design a single chassis off-road race car each year and fabricate it ourselves. I love innovative design and love to work on things hands on, so this is the perfect team to join. Being on both teams mean a lot of time commitment, but the ability to learn and apply knowledge learnt from one team to another truly helps me to grow my knowledge base and experience rapidly. Before stepping in university doors, I was also a leader of VEX Robotics team 4862D at my high school Ashbury College. I successfully lead the team to a 7th place finish in provincials' game's qualification rounds. My current interests are in 3D printing as fabrication of the Baja car can benefit from this technique a lot by reducing cost and improving efficiency. Later on I plan to explore the field of machine vision as I think the future is built on codes. Also I believe that having interdisciplinary skills can make you a more rounded person in all work environments.
