BA in Economics, National Autonomous University of Mexico – UNAM (1979)Masters Degree and Diplôme d’Études Approfondies (DEA) in Sociology, University of Paris VIII (1985). Since 1995 he specialized in the edition, translation and research in public health, particularly in health policies and systems. Recently, he has oriented his work to knowledge translation and the utilization of research results in decision making.He currently coordinates the Knowledge Management Unit at the Health Systems Research Center - National Institute of Public Health (INSP) Mexico. Since October 2011, he participates in the Multilateral Association for Studying Health Inequalities and Enhancing North-South and South-South Cooperation – MASCOT, a European Commission financed consortium dedicated to the identification and exchange of best practices tackling mother and child health inequalities in 12 countries of Africa and Latin America.Alongside with his activity as knowledge manager and researcher, he practices and teaches Taiji Quan (Taichi Chuan) and Qigong (Chi Kung) since 1982. He is the Director of La Casa de Loto where he and his wife, Marie Laversin, a certified Chinese traditional medicine & homeopathy practitioner, work helping people actively understand and improve their health.Specialties: _Research results dissemination for decision making in health systems.
