These simulation tools developed by Compuplast http://www.compuplast.com/ for over 20 years provide engineers and designers with valuable information for a number of areas, included:-Profile die design for plastics and rubbers-Screw design for extrusion, injection molding, and blow molding-Flat die design for sheet extrusion and extrusion coating-Spiral die design for tubular film, pipe extrusion, and blow molding heads-Flat Spiral die design for coextruded blown films-Side Fed Die/Cross-Head Die design for pipes, cables or blow molding extrusion-Process optimization and troubleshooting for extrusion and coextrusion -
Research OfficerAutomotive Portfolio - National Research Council Canada Sep 2011 - Oct 2015Magna-Nrc Composites Centre Of Excellence - Concord, OntarioAs the principal researcher at the Magna-NRC Composites Centre of Excellence I was in charge of technology development projects in response to industrial needs concerning the development of innovative lightweight polymer-based composite materials. Areas of particular interest were innovative thermoset and thermoplastic polymers, carbon fibre and biofibre reinforcements, biopolymers and engineering polymers for their use in the production of parts for the automotive industry. Responsibilities included the coordination of R&D activities with both domestic and international industrial partners. My activities included initiate, supervise and execute innovative R&D activities in the area of formulation, compounding and molding of thermoplastic and thermoset polymers with discontinuous and continuous reinforcing fibers as part of a specialized team of engineers and technicians. I was responsible for the progress of internal research projects as well as work carried out in collaboration with multi-institutional partners, including Canadian and foreign companies, in order to contribute to the growth and competitiveness of Canada’s manufacturing sector. -

Post Doctoral FellowMcmaster University 2002 - 2004Hamilton, OntarioProject: Design and implementation of an injection molding foaming system. The main project was the design and implementation of an injection moulding microcellular foaming system. The results of this research work were published on the journal International Polymer Processing in 2005. Designed and coordinated the fabrication and installation of a special nozzle composed by a static mixing element (SMX type) and a shut-off valve for an Arburg Alrounder S 320 S 500-150 injection molding machine.
