Serve as primary decision-making body, advancing CTAA's mission to aid Cass Tech students in acquiring a comprehensive education. Attend monthly meetings to raise funds and volunteerism among CT Alumni to support the various academic programs at Cass Tech High School. As all-class reunion liaison, I led the class of 2006 reunion planning committee to raising over $17,000 in revenue, while giving over $2,000 in scholarships to graduates of the class of 2016 and $2,500 to the CTAA.

Served as liaison to youth organizations empowering their youth to educate communities on Gerrymandering through the Michigan Voices redistricting Initiative.

As PeacePlayers’ first domestic hire, I launched and cultivated the Detroit program from summer 2017 to present, impacting over 250 unique youth. Securing several local partnerships including DPSCD, Department of Parks & Rec, and City of Detroit’s GDYT Program; we’ve grown from 1 local employee, to a staff of 4 (2 full-time and 2 part-time), 2 interns and a robust volunteer base. As an ambassador for U.S. programming, I’ve traveled the world preparing and delivering presentations on the growth of PeacePlayers U.S.

Examine the current strengths and challenges for COMPÁS and research youth-programming best practices. Work with staff on management recommendations and implement those best practices and recommendations with SDBA supervisor’s approval.Interview staff and create job descriptions for each position including a generic one for instructors.Become familiar with current COMPÁS grants and their key performance elements. Research previous grants from and identify other potential fundraising opportunities.Ensure COMPÁS staff and instructors are implementing the grant funded initiatives and tracking the data needed to prepare grant reports and secure additional funds.Create more educational and social field trip opportunities outside of Southwest Detroit through youth development research and small grants.Create relationships throughout SE Michigan music and arts community with an eye toward establishing a small Advisory Committee for COMPÁS, identifying on-site and off-site learning opportunities, and performance opportunities for students. Increase number of males of color enrolled in the program to 40%. Optimize culturally based programming for retention of current students and recruitment of new students, while continuing to emphasize the Latino/a heritage of the Southwest Detroit community through the arts. Strengthen COMPÁS’ relationship with Berklee City Music Network by securing 2-year partnership extension to 2018!

We successfully built a grassroots network of volunteers, turning out enough voters to deliver the margin of victory within their assigned region, earning Gary Peters Michigan's U.S. Senate seat. Delved into current civic issues within the city through 1-on-1 meetings with voters and by frequenting Detroit’s myriad of influential communal events. Making over 300 phone calls daily while overseeing a region of 350,000 residents, I served as the first point of contact for volunteers on Mark Schauer and Gary Peters' campaign, living on Detroit’s West Side.

Dallas/Fort Worth Area

Serve as primary representative concerning chapter business with outside entities. Coordinated over 15 volunteer initiatives with Lansing area charities and non-profit organizations throughout the Fall 2009 and Spring 2010 semesters. Secured $9,000 in funding for the chapter’s 8th Annual Hair & Fashion Show and the Inaugural Zeta Delta Black & Gold Awards Banquet.

Researching the top college football athletes around the nation and gathering information on the select few that are targeted for recruitment by our agency. In addition to recruiting for the agency, I have the opportunity to shadow contract advisors and athlete representation specialist.

Execution of corporate sponsorships at Athletic events, during pre-game, in-game and post game. I work every home football game completing tasks such as assisting with the planning and implementation of season-long and single game promotions (for all sports). I also assist in coordinating game day promotions with promotions staff, event managers, etc. Assisting with the Junior Spartan Club and special events for members and attend each event for which you are assigned. Identify potential organizations and youth clubs for group admissions and coordinate in-arena entertainment (promotions, music, band, cheerleaders, etc.). Distribute posters and other fliers to assigned dorms, buildings, and/or corporate sponsors in addition to any other duties as assigned by the Sales and Marketing staff.

We serve as an institutional focal point for promoting inclusion and diversity at Michigan State University.
