• Proven track record as a business leader, gained at a senior level of FTSE and private companies• Experience as Chair, Member and/or Advisor to Investment and Audit & Risk Committees• Executive career with exposure to and appreciation of corporate finance issues• Provides counsel and guidance to the senior and management team whilst challenging and stretching executive and Board thinking• Intellect, energy and curiosity to rapidly assimilate the issues facing the business, and to foster debate and drive engagement with all key internal stakeholders• Experience of configuring a Board Committees to support a business going through transformation• A blend of strategic and tactical, with a clear focus on creating shareholder value• Gravitas and stature to command respect - yet collegiate with a strong team approach• Good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills across varied stakeholder groups• Robust and calm under pressure• Ability to provide independence of perspective to the Board’s discussions and decisions, actively promoting and working within an environment of constructive debate
