Taking charge of global EM fixed income strategy (mainly hard currency sovereign bonds) for our institutional clients. Built a research platform from scratch by designing, launching and authoring several periodical publications. Have been successful in foreseeing important themes and in recommending corresponding profitable strategies. Examples are: 1) recommended going long CEE sovereign credits (particularly Hungary) vs. LatAm (e.g., Brazil) to play the Fed-ECB monetary policy divergence in September, 2014; 2) believed oil prices should bottom soon or might have bottomed and thus recommended going long Venezuela/PdVSA bonds in mid-January 2015; 3) expected inflation expectations and actual inflation to rise in the Eurozone and German bund yields to widen, and thus recommended taking profit in EM long trades, particularly in CEE credits in early April 2015, 3) turned mildly bearish on Venezuela from neutral in early May 2015 and turned bearish in late May 2015 when WTI was nearly $60; 4) turned mildly bullish on Venezuela in late August when WTI was close to $40 and recommended going long low-price sovereign bonds.
