I conduct nondestructive inspections and testing on a part-time basis, looking for possible corrosion, cracks, flaws, and imperfections that could lead to critical malfunctions or accidents. I am American Society of Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) Level Two certified on best nondestructive testing methods.

I oversaw and certified all nondestructive testing (NDT) methods including Ultrasound Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Penetration Testing (PT), Eddy Current Testing (ET), and Radiography Testing (RT). I inspected critical aerospace weapons systems components (Aircraft) and support equipment (Aerospace Ground Equipment) for structural integrity. A major part of my role was ensuring team members employed best inspection methods and techniques in strict adherence with safety standards and technical orders and that nondestructive test equipment operated at peak proficiency. I expertly reviewed, interpreted, and qualified inspection test results to provide vital material deficiency concerns to Maintenance Group leadership and Quality Assurance. To protect personnel, I created radiation safety zones to conduct safe radiographic operations and continually tracked personnel exposure to radiation and record exposure data. I made important determinations on inspection schedules and appropriate maintenance procedures, ensuring all different types of aircraft were safe and operated perfectly. I served as the NDI Air Advisor for the Afghanistan Air Force during a deployment to Afghanistan in 2014, training personnel on best techniques and procedures for conducting NDI operations. To ensure everything was properly communicated, I liaised directly with the System Operation Center (SOC) and Maintenance Operation Center (MOC) for processing aircraft status reports.
