• Assisted respondents with the completion of census questionnaires through in-person and follow-up telephone interviews at households while taking into account the confidentiality of the information given• Response rates were greatly increased by informing and addressing issues/concerns residents have regarding the questionnaires and how the information will be used by Statistics Canada

• Recorded and categorized quantitative data regarding the various modes of transportation at specific counting stations within the Region of Peel • Examined the impacts land use developments on the region’s road network• Forecasts for the various traffic patterns were carried out and to be used to allocate adequate funding for the Region’s Capital Road Program

• Examined and synthesized various planning reports and studies relating to the evolution of five Northern Ontario municipalities and their downtown core with a renewed perspective on how to attract growth in the core rather than accommodating growth • Investigated planning opportunities and challenges that are apparent within each of the downtown core through the collection of qualitative and quantitative data from online surveys/phone interviews with key stakeholders and planning studies/reports/regulations
