During my time at SolidCAM, I provided customer support on topics such as license management, updates/installations, advice on programming and machining, process improvement, and software usage training.Additionally, we handled information management, documentation creation, and customer follow-up.

I was part of the human team at Estevan Calvo Design and Machining, a company with high production capacity and an excellent fleet of state-of-the-art machinery.This experience provided me with valuable insights and knowledge in general machining, individual parts, or short series, dealing with various materials, types of work, and processes every day.Their incredibly skilled team demonstrated commitment and experience at every moment, facilitating my learning and professional development, which was exactly what I was seeking to achieve the desired training.Thanks to my previous specialization with Okuma machining centers and controls, I worked hands-on with an Okuma Genos M460V-5AX. I contributed knowledge, the ability to learn, and adaptability acquired over the years to tackle the challenges we faced daily. I was responsible for preparing the machines for the subsequent execution of CAM programs generated by the technical office. Additionally, at the machine, I performed the necessary programming to manufacture or repair parts based on the interpretation of blueprints. It was a job focused on producing not large quantities, but rather individual pieces, where each moment required careful attention and precision.At times, I provided support in the adjustment/assembly department with toolmakers, a task that provided me with more knowledge and different perspectives. This experience helped me evaluate the work done on the machine, sparked my interest in proposing alternative designs, and finding solutions to present or future problems.I was part of a fantastic human team responsible for machining fixtures/dies, both modifications of past projects and the execution of new projects.My previous experience, combined with training and the ability to learn, allowed me to continue growing gradually and acquiring knowledge of new work methodologies and handling different machinery. I worked at this humble family-owned company where I gained a lot of experience and had the pleasure of engaging in precise machining and custom manufacturing. While juggling my studies, I had the opportunity to refine the skills acquired during my education and expand my knowledge through the incredible experience provided by the company's owners.I worked on conventional machinery, including a parallel lathe and a universal milling machine. However, the majority of my tasks involved setting up, maintaining, preparing, and manufacturing short series or individual pieces on CNC machines, specifically on a NICOLÁS CORREA milling machine with HEIDENHAIN 430 control and a DAEWOO lathe with FANUC control.For CNC milling, I generated programs directly at the machine, while the lathe programming, in addition to being done at the machine, was processed using FIKUS visual CAM.In addition, I created drawings, both for manufacturing parts and for archiving machined pieces, using AUTOCAD. I completed my internship at this family-owned company dedicated to manufacturing machinery for jewelry.I was able to learn and grow professionally and personally with a wonderful technical team and their incredible capacity for effort and overcoming challenges.I participated in each and every department of the company, from machining to the warehouse, including assembly, and gained an appreciation for the design and marketing team of the company.It is an honor to have been a part, however brief, of the history of this wonderful company.
