Victor is a graduate of Physiology from the University of Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria, where he earned a Second Class Upper Division in December 2022.He is young, passionate, and enthusiastic about Sports and Human Physiology. As a member of the university's athletic team, he represented the school during the Nigerian University Games (NUGA) held at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) in 2022.Recently, he became a research assistant, working with a faculty member at the University of Ilorin. His primary duties include laboratory equipment and animal handling, research data collection and analysis, undergraduate student mentorship, assignment and test grading, and the preparation of lecture materials and lecture halls.Victor is deeply passionate about understanding the mechanics of the human body and the science behind physical activity, health, and wellness. During his internship in the ECG department of the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH), he gained a deeper understanding of the electrical activities of the human heart and physiological responses to exercise.As a sportsman and a lover of Human Physiology with a desire to help others improve their quality of life through physical activity, Victor is tirelessly working towards becoming a professional Exercise Physiologist.To achieve this, he has recently been accepted to pursue a Master's degree in Exercise Science and Kinesiology (Exercise Physiology concentration) at the University of Northern Colorado at Greeley, USA. There, he will work alongside Prof. David Hydock on research investigating the mechanisms behind cancer treatment-related toxicities, with a specific interest in skeletal muscle weakness and fatigue, and how exercise and nutritional interventions can mitigate these debilitating side effects. They will also explore the physical activity levels of transgender individuals and the role physical activity plays in their health.In light of the global health challenges posed by the increasing prevalence of lifestyle-related diseases such as obesity, type II diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, certain cancers, and metabolic syndrome, coupled with the rapid adoption of advanced technologies leading to sedentary lifestyles, Victor's vision is to be part of the solution. He aims to promote healthier lifestyles and contribute to the scientific understanding of human movement through clinical practice, research, or community programs.Victor is a winger on the football pitch, Superstar difficulty level player with the Game Pad (PES), and your regular Gym guy.Now that's fun!!!
