Finish Inspector
Current• Must follow safe work practices, know and comply with regulations, report any injury or illness immediately, and report unsafe acts and conditions.• Visually inspect all parts as per KEI and Customer Inspection Standards and reject any noticeable defects that may be observed.• Identify parts inspected, stamp parts with personal stamp, and attach production sticker according to department requirements.• Communicate defects or reject issues to the Lead Hand / Foreperson as appropriate.• Pack all finished goods as per defined part requirements, as required.• Properly tag all finished goods and non-conforming parts.• Keep records and production counts; on appropriated documents and computers as required.• Ensure all required documentation is filled out correctly and completely.• Ensure all equipment in the inspection area is working properly, and carry out required maintenance tasks on equipment as required.• Ensure appropriate test (panels) are performed for all parts types in production during shift and records the results; notify the foreperson if retesting is required.• Perform dock audits as required.• Responsible for ensuring all posted Quality Alerts and or Heads alerts are reviewed before each shift.• Communicate any problem, materials required, or quality concerns to the foreperson promptly.• Adhere to documented work procedures set out for the activities being performed.• Comply with all management systems to which KEI subscribes. (Ex. Quality and Environmental Systems.)• Assists with Pre-plate Wash Loading when required.• Perform 6S (housekeeping) and weekly maintenance duties as directed by the Foreperson.• Perform other duties as assigned.
