I was recruited by executive leadership and successfully completed the consolidation and financial turnaround of two creative teams into a single, patient-focused, highly-efficient, cost-recovery team supporting more than 20,000 employees at MD Anderson as well as external clients within the Texas Medical Center.My team and I collaborated regularly with clinical, research, marketing, communication, development and educational staff at MD Anderson and throughout the Texas Medical Center. Working collaboratively, we developed and delivered strategic multimedia content for improving the patient experience, supporting life-changing research, generating positive public awareness, creating strategic community partnerships, improving donor recognition and engagement, enhancing employee performance and updating and expanding patient education, CME and CNE content.My primary responsibilities included directing the daily operations of a team of more than 20 creative professionals consisting of writer/producers, videographer/editors, photographers, graphic designers, medical illustrators and three administrative support staff resulting in approximately 8,000 completed jobs per year with an average annual operating budget of $2 million.
