Beginning with a engineer ,having experience of sourcing for almost 8 years .now working on a marketing position. The engineer experiences teach me how to transfer a idea into reality, to insight the problems to find the root causes and provide solutions. Sourcing experiences improve my ability to coordinate the externals and internals to work for the same goals . also bring me the ability of finding ,qualifying and judging the right suppliers for the specified products/components. Negotiation with suppliers about cost, delivery ,quality ,volume make me understand how to balance those important things. Marketing experiences tell me how the company grow, how to win the competition in a very tough red ocean. And how to encourage person to fight for the goals. Furthermore, marketing experiences let me learn more about cost ,OTD and quality . Deeply understand what cost down really means, it means market share , margin, benefits and even surviving. Marketing also forge my abilities to analyze the market data to have the right judgments of the market tendency. To build the right strategies suit for the environments. Guiding the team towards correct objectives and make success. I believe I will be sharper sourcing guy than the normal one without marketing experience .because they don’t know how tough the market competition is ,and what the cost poses huge pressures on a company .
