I am a focused, driven individual who will provide you with just the skillset you need for jobs relating to international politics! I am a senior at Auburn University majoring in political science. My primary goal at the moment is to obtain some experience in preparation for a prospective career related to international relations, with a possible focus on the Middle East. Specifically, I am seeking an internship with the objective of helping a company or organization do research on political developments, apply geopolitical considerations to its business activities or nonprofit efforts, and formulate positions on public policy issues. I also would like to acquire information about the fields of political science in general and international relations in particular, and what a typical job in those fields looks like. I am a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, and Pi Sigma Alpha. I also got the National Merit Scholarship, am a member of the Honors College at Auburn University, and was placed on the university's Dean's List in fall 2021 and fall 2022. I have volunteer experience coaching students to improve their persuasive skills on political subjects, as well as helping to run a conference that replicated salient geopolitical issues facing the world today and allowed students representing different countries to negotiate among themselves and develop policies that aimed at addressing these issues. Besides my specific skills, academic writing and mental math are more general abilities in which I excel, and two of my biggest strengths are leadership and persuasion. I am deeply passionate about human rights abuses, diplomacy, and human security. My innermost values, including equality, justice, compassion, and mercy, drive my everyday and professional life. I'm interested in the internships your company has to offer political science majors.
