I'm a former child abuse prosecutor who went on to direct the National Center for Prosecution of Child Abuse. In my current work with Zero Abuse Project, I continue to provide training and technical assistance to child protection professionals throughout the United States and also internationally. I also assist with our ChildFirst Forensic Interview training program and our Child Advocacy Studies (CAST) curriculum for undergraduate and graduate institutions. In my latest role as Director of our Center for Faith & Child Protection, I work with CACs to implement spiritual care programs for maltreated children and to otherwise develop effective collaborations between faith and child protection communities. I teach a course on child abuse at two seminaries and am working with other seminaries to implement courses on trauma-informed spiritual care. I've included links to some of my publications in recent years as well as some older publications that have been impactful in improving the response of faith and child protection communities to cases of child maltreatment.
