Due to company restructure, Equipment Maintenance Department was transferred to another division and I was retitled to Head of Facilities.As planned in 2021, Facilities Development Department has transformed from a traditional facilities maintenance organization to smart facilities management through digitalization and automation. The department is also downsized by outsourced building facilities maintenance for a robust and efficient operation focusing on the core operation of production equipment maintenance.• Mar 2022 – Apr 2023: Established an Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) System to streamline workflow, improve operation efficiency and service levels by fully digitalize the department's operation. The EAM is connected to the BMS and the new IoT System that automatically generate a work order when receiving a fault signal. QR codes are assigned on each equipment and room for users to report fault. All preventive maintenances are scheduled and the system will generate work orders, reminders, e-check sheet, online manual and auto filing.• Apr 2022 – Apr 2023: Built an IoT System for building facilities and production equipment maintenance, installed 1,511 LoRA and Zigbee temperature, vibration, gyroscope sensors on the motors (crane, docks, air-conditioning units, pumps etc.), power distribution boards, screw jacks of various equipment to improve safety, reliability and service level by round-the-clock monitoring and automatic alert, utilizing the big data analysis to perform predictive maintenance. During the project progress, the system has already expanded to sustainability projects like water and power meters, automatic fan coil unit and lighting controllers, etc.

I was transferred to the Airport Relocation Project Team to be the Assistant Engineer. I was responsible for the setup and relocation planning for the offices and workshops in the new HAECO depots in Chek Lap Kok (CLK) Airport and Tseung Kwan O (TKO) Industrial Estate. I was transferred to Calibration & Metrology Centre (CALMET) as Assistant Engineer responsible for the hands on calibration works and develop the uncertainty calculation system to fulfill the Hong Kong Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (HOKLAS) according to the ISO/IEC Guide, job duties were:• Perform calibrations for electrical, electronic and mechanical aircraft maintenance equipment and tools to fulfill airworthiness regulations• Develop a calculation system for the calibration uncertainties to achieve HOKLAS standardMajor Project:Design and Develop an Automated HOKLAS Uncertainties CalculationThe calibration uncertainty was calculated by manual, each tool and equipment has different perimeters and need to be calculated individually which is very time consuming and need to check repeatedly to ensure correctness. I developed an Excel spreadsheet with macro programme and table lookup function for automatic calculation; it improved the efficiency and accuracy by saving manpower and eliminating error, as staff just need to enter the perimeters to get the uncertainties.
