After more than 7 years as a certified financial advisor by €FPA, where I worked at a major Spanish bank, managing client portfolios over a million euros 💶 and created an investment robot in the foreign exchange market that achieved a 140% return in a year trading forex...My head exploded 🤯, I couldn't take it anymore, I needed a change.And change came, in less than 10 months I was back as a junior, but this time as a software developer at one of Spain's major technology consultancies, Indra.It didn't take me even a month to realize what was considered cutthroat 🥩 in the tech sector, so I decided to start sending out resumes looking for a new opportunity to keep growing.Of course, unbeknownst to me, the toughness and difficulty of selection processes for developers, with personal tests, technical evaluations, defending your work, meeting with the CFO, etc. In short, a variety of assessments designed like a circus act 🤹 to hire the best talent.After many failed interviews, I learned a lot, studied, researched, and even engaged in conversations that felt like interrogations with colleagues and some interviewers to understand why so many rejections. Ten months after being at Indra, I made the leap to Ciklum as a Full Stack Developer 👨🏻‍💻.My next big discovery was that in this world, learning must be constant, changing companies every 2-3 years, even to another sector, is normal, and interviews are part of everyday life if you want to stay on top of your game 🌊.My analytical mind began to see repeating patterns: what answers interviewers liked the most, what not to say, how to properly present technical tests.
