Portão 3 is a Brazilian fintech funded by YCombinator focused on bringing the best credit card for digital marketing professionals.At Portão 3, we have a data-driven mindset in which every employee has access to every number and the main goals of every employee are revenue goals. My main contributions to P3’s data landscape are:- Constitution of a Data Lake based on dimensional modeling and bronze, silver and gold layering. Everything running on Google Cloud Platform.- Management of an ETL infrastructure in order to keep the data sources synchronized with the Data Lake and for easy query maintenance and debugging. All using the latest tech, such as Fivetran and DBT.- Building of Machine Learning pipelines focused on classifying and gathering insights from customer support tickets on real-time to enhance the customer experience.- Building of a TEXT-TO-SQL agent chatbot to convert natural language questions into real SQL queries that get executed against the Data Lake in order to retrieve real data from the company. The bot reasons about every prompt with a custom Chain-of-thought engineered prompt and interactively loops over its queries to enhance them until a compatible answer is found. All done with a custom built version of Langchain. Totally available for all employees directly at the company’s Slack.- Collaboration with team leaders for clarification and further enhancements on the projects mentioned above.

I completed an on-site internship in Friedrichshafen, Germany, at the headquarters of the world's largest automotive transmission systems manufacturer.- Daily Meetings in English:I participated in daily meetings in English, which allowed me to enhance my communication skills in an international environment.- Creation and Editing of Professional PDF Reports:I carried out the creation and editing of professional PDF reports, using Python libraries such as PyPDF2 and FPDF. These reports comprised more than 200 pages.- Conversion of Raw Data into JSONs:I converted raw data related to transmission system tests into structured data in extensive JSON files with the assistance of the Python Pandas library.- Designing Charts and Visualizations:I designed various charts and visualizations with Matplotlib and Plotly based on structured data for subsequent analysis by the engineers involved in the projects.- Development of Customer Dashboards:I developed dashboards with over 10 pages of charts and visualizations to enable ZF's clients to effectively monitor the performance of their projects.- Bug Corrections:I performed bug fixes and improved the functionality of systems and tools.- Interaction with the German Language and Diverse Cultures:During my experience, I engaged with the German language and interacted with individuals from various cultures, expanding my perspective and intercultural skills.It was an unforgettable experience that took me completely out of my comfort zone, shaped me, and opened my eyes to the outside world.

GoBots is a market-leading startup that provides Artificial Intelligence services to retailers of the major Brazilian e-commerce companies.- Creation of NLP Model for Customer Support in E-commerce:I participated in the development of a Natural Language Processing (NLP) model from conception to deployment, including setting up the Docker and Kubernetes environment.The model was designed to answer real customer questions about products in e-commerce, achieving accuracy comparable to that of human attendants.This project also served as the topic of my Bachelor's Thesis, highlighting my commitment to research and innovation in AI.- Development of Natural Language Processing Products:I directly contributed to the launch of new Natural Language Processing (NLP) products that meet the needs of major Brazilian e-commerce companies.I trained neural network models based on text using advanced libraries, such as HuggingFace's Transformers, thus utilizing the best natural language processing resources in the company.- MLOps Development:I participated in the development of MLOps solutions on the back-end to ensure the efficiency and scalability of AI applications.- Reading and Writing Scientific Articles:I conducted critical reading and writing of scientific articles in the field of AI and NLP to keep the team updated with the latest trends and advances in the field.

I had also the opportunity to be the Team Leader of the Computer Vision area, in which we trained and used a TinyYolov4 object detection model to keep track of the ball and the goalposts, and therefore be the eyes of our robots. All the inference is built with Python code, combined with the OpenCV DNN module. Communication between codes from different areas is built with ROS.During the interval I was leading the Computer Vision team, we were qualified as the best brazilian humanoid soccer team of 2021 Remote Robocup©.

EDROM is a project team where undergraduates from different graduation courses of UFU work together. It participates in semestral contests where the main goal is to win a robot soccer tournament against other teams. At EDROM, I was a member of the Behavior area, in which we used the Python Transitions module to create a state machine that keeps control of the different states and condition variables the robots can assume.

DRB Consultoria is a company from Uberlândia, Brazil specialized in delivering insights aboutlocal drugstores’ sales, customers, merchandise inventories and employees goals. My role onthe team was to be responsible for the ETL (extract, transform, load) of the data given by ourclients databases. So I used to write queries and edit old ones in Excel in order to fill sheets thatwould be analysed by my coworkers. Sometimes I also had to search for specific fields andvalues on the databases so we could check the reports made by the team.
