Having completed a BA in Biological Sciences at the University of Oxford and Masters at two Natural History Museums (NHM London and MNHN in Paris) I am looking for employment (temporary or permanent contracts), or alternatively internships in careers linked to these areas. For example, research assistant positions (in biology or palaeontology laboratories), curator positions in natural history collections, positions in science publication and communication, in nature conservation, or other related fields.Having had a lifelong passion for and interest in the natural world and its evolutionary history, I have always aimed to be a researcher in in paleontology or evolutionary biology. My past research projects have focused on vertebrate phylogenetics, morphological evolution, and exploring past biodiversity.- During my BA at Oxford, my research project involved using Jurassic salamander fossils from the UK to study salamander phylogeny.- Then during my MSc at the Natural History Museum I studied the evolution pterosaur skull shape across their phylogeny and ontogeny, using geometric morphometrics.-Finally my research project at the Museum National d'Histoire Naturelle looked at "hidden" events of parallel evolution using evolutionary simulations (coded using the Python language). This allowed the phenomenon to be studied both in theoretical space, and applied to a real biological example (repeated independent limb loss events in the Scincinae of Madagascar). My work on this project is ongoing, in the hopes of producing a publication.Through my studies and research, I have thus developed a wide skill set of biological methods. These include software skills such as use of and implementation of statistical methods with the R language, evolutionary modelling and simulation using Python, and experience using of software for morphometrics, 3D visualisation, phylogenetic analysis and tree building, and treatment of genetic data. They also include more practical skills including experience with field specimen collection and taxonomic identification protocols, biological lab work, using large biological and palaeontological databases, and requesting access to and studying museum specimens. I also write science communication articles for the general public in English and French, covering topics in palaeontology, systematics and taxonomy for the website Le Cortex. Please see my CV further information egarding my previous studies and research, and please contact me if you require any further information
