About Victor Kane
Since 2004, Associate Professor of statistics in the Department of Statistics and Analytical Sciences at Kennesaw State University. He teaches graduate Quality Control, Six Sigma and Design of Experiments. Dr. Kane holds a doctorate in statistics from Florida State University and an M.B.A. from University of Tennessee. He received the ASQ Craig Award for his paper on capability indices. He retired from a 20-year career with Ford Motor Company where he served as European Powertrain Quality Director. He received a recognition award as Ford’s top ranked Lean Manufacturing Plant Manager in 1999 at a Canadian plant that received the lean Shingo award in 2001. Dr. Kane has published multiple research papers on Lean Six Sigma applications. The two most recent papers in 2020 and 2022 identify the implied LSS assumptions and seven analytical approaches for identifying process improvement opportunities.Specialties: Lean Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Quality Systems, Design of Experiments
