I’ve always been someone who wants to protect people whether that be on earth, space, aerospace, or cyberspace. As a kid, I wanted to be to be a superhero when I grew up. Why? Because of their ability to save and protect others using their unique set of skills and talents. I also found technology fascinating; it connects people instantly, can streamline certain processes, make people lives a little easier, etc. However, I’m aware of the vulnerabilities found in our reliance on tech. In today’s digital age, information has become more accessible to individuals, corporations, governments, hackers, etc, so there’s an ongoing need to keep sensitive data safe. As someone who has been affected by phishing attacks, account hacks and other scams in the past, I understand the negative impact cyber attacks can have on one's well-being. So, in 2023 I started (and completed) a cybersecurity bootcamp that created a hunger in me, to learn more about about computer systems, networking, cyber threats and how to defend against them. I strive to educate people, to the best of my ability, on Cybersecurity concepts that will help protect individuals and organizations from cyber threats.
