I joined the team lead by Dr Lars Grøntved, PhD to start a project focusing on chromatin remodeling in the liver and its role in metabolism and circadian rhythm. I was responsible for building the project utilizing NGS, CRISPR and mouse model system.I have developed scripts and pipelines for NGS data analysis that could be used the group. I have worked with processing and analysis of data obtained by ATAC-seq, ChIP-seq and RNA-seq performed on cells isolated from tissues and am looking forward to experience with scRNA-seq. Thus far, I have trained two masters and two bachelor students and have myself learned and perfected techniques such as primary hepatocytes culture, enChIP and ChIP-MS. Currently, I am also working with CRISPR-Cas9 to target enhancer sequences flanking gck gene in vivo using AAV system.

I joined the team of Roberto Pezza, PhD to investigate the role of chromatin remodeling in DNA repair of double-strand breaks (DSBs) by homologous recombination(HR). During this time I visited the group of Rafael Camerini-Otero, MD PhD at NIH, Bethesda to master ChIP-seq analysis. I studied the topic in the context of mitosis using DIvA (DSB inducible via AsiSI) human cell line, a model relevant for cancer research, and in the context of meiosis using murine testis-derived cells. I performed ChIP-seq, RNA-seq and ATAC-seq experiments and analysis, as well as worked with molecular cloning, CRISPR/Cas9 system, lentiviruses and establishing genetically modified cell lines. Currently I'm collaborating with the laboratory as a bioinformatician and consultant.
