An international events company running business development events across Asia, Europe and the USA. Project manager the production of wine tasting booklets for each event series of events, managing proofers, deadlines and overall sign off of content published. Responsible for the shipping process of all wine being showcased, working with wine producers worldwide, dealing with customs from port of exit to point of entry. Responsible for managing a portfolio of approximately 90 events per year, including: conferences, seminars, training events and dinners. Developing relationships with both internal and external clients to ensure that programmes are developed; marketing campaigns are effective; and events are all run to the highest professional standards. I am responsible for overseeing the Event Coordinators on some of my larger projects where I am able to delegate responsibilities to them. I manage all financial aspects of events, including budget creation, forecasting and reporting for all assigned events. I write and create marketing literature, as well as working closely with our marketing team on putting together materials within strict brand guidelines. I am the main point of contact for all speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, as well as managing and troubleshooting all onsite logistics at the events.

Solely responsible for the end-to-end management of a broad range of small - med size events (20-200 pax), including seminars, conferences, formal dinners and social events; Writing and preparing an annul events budget for proposal to the Board of Directors; Sourcing, booking and negotiating suitable venues, caterers and contracts; Compiling marketing plans and assisting with promotional activities, as well as creating and issuing marketing publications; Coordinating and attending external exhibitions promoting the brand and expanding the client base; Building and maintaining business relationships with both clients and sponsors; Main point of contact for all speakers, exhibitors and sponsors; Event Hostess, ensuring each event runs as planned; Post event reviews and analysis; Manager of the Events Committee.

Assisting the Sales and Marketing Manager with the preparation of events, including checking and distributing marketing material, collating delegate packs/name badges; attending/assisting at events; handling all events bookings and enquiries; Assisting the General Manager and Finance department with a variety of administrative tasks; General website maintenance/updates, including setting up event booking systems; Processing all incoming payments and orders, dealing with all outgoing invoices/receipts; Dealing with all general email and telephone enquiries; Administrative Lead for the Continuing Professional Development Scheme (CPD).

Taking ownership of individual complaints raised and completing a full investigation; Communicating with the customer on a regular basis to ensure they are fully informed on the progress of their complaint; Liaising with other departments/companies to obtain all relevant information/evidence; Providing customers with a written detailed response to their complaint, ensuring that the appropriate course of action has been followed to resolve the issue; Reporting on trends/analysing issues to ensure a better level of customer service.

Conducting investigations on customers’ accounts where queries cannot be resolved at first point of contact; Liaising with other departments/companies to obtain all relevant information/evidence to resolve a query; Providing customers with a detailed response to the outcome of the investigation.
