Victoria Ann Devine, author of the well-known children’s books, Sparky’s Bully Workshop, MacCarrig, and Santa’s Bully Elf, is currently booking elementary school visits for fall 2018/2019. An advocate for anti-bullying organizations, her books promote compassion, empathy and friendship. Bullying is a global issue with long-term effects on children, and her books communicate the significance of this type of intimidation. Victoria’s stories help children appreciate diversity and accept others. • Santa’s Bully Elf we learn that Sparky, a K-9 elf, peers through his magical telescope at Lookout Tower for bullies in need of guidance. When he spies two children on the naughty list, he leaves his post to help change their unkind ways before Christmas. (ideal for October-December)• Sparky’s Bully Workshop is the perfect rhyming book for elementary school students. Sparky returns as a teacher of wisdom and bravery. Through a magical mirror, he helps children become confident. This book teaches bullies that they can be a friend.• In MacCarrig, the white egret and her friends race against the weather to prepare their boats for the annual parade before a looming storm overtakes them.
