Third-year psychology student hoping to make a real impact. A composition of my family history, lived experiences, and deep curiosity spurred my interest in psychology. As a problem-solver by nature, the desire to answer my many questions led me to the College of Liberal Arts at The University of Texas at Austin, where I'm pursuing my BA in Psychology. In the years to come, I aim to deepen my understanding of issues concerning youth and adolescents, particularly those in minority and underserved communities. I am especially interested in how developmental contexts, social contexts, and personal identities come together and influence our youths' day-to-day lives. I look forward to learning how one's development is impacted by these factors, how to best glean that information as a scientist, and how to create and implement effective interventions informed by those findings. I'm eager to supplement classroom learning with collaborative research and volunteering that helps to serve and sustain the community that surrounds me.
