A busy country pub and restaurant with 16 bedrooms including 2 self-catering cottages. As general manager of the Crown I was responsible for all aspects of the business including the running of the restaurant, bar and hotel.

Managing the commercial and daily operations of the Fighting Cocks Inn. - Overseeing the events calender; from planning to completion of all events including live music, pub quizzes, functions and business meetings. - Enhancing social media to actively promote and advertise the business.- Responsible for stock management, ordering and controlling wastage.- Involved in recruitment, new employee training, payroll and staff wellbeing.

- Responsible for facilitating the smooth running of three four week projects across a variety of settings and challenges in Uganda. - Managed the expectations, skill-use and welfare of multiple teams of 15-25 UK volunteers in rural communities.-Worked alongside a team of Ugandan staff to maintain the communication channels between student volunteers, local community members, and East African Playgrounds staff.- Displayed strong team management, intercultural communication skills, and constant innovative in order to solve daily challenges within an unpredictable environment.
