Currently collaborating on Men Can Be Femme: Clinically Exploring Femmephobia in Gay, Bisexual, & Queer Men’s Population. This research examines multiple aspects of the association between femininity and psychological adjustment, as well as neglected key conceptual differences between self-actualized versus assigned/essentialized femininity in gay, bisexual, and queer men’s populations.

Developed a one-of-a-kind quantitative research study to examine the role of adult attachment style within knowledge about partner sex history. This research was the first of its kind, as all attachment and sex research focuses on sexual needs, communication, behaviours, desires, and satisfaction. My thesis project bridged this gap in the literature as we investigated how adult attachment style influences knowledge about partner sex history.

Volunteered as a Peer Support Counsellor at the Student Support Network University of Guelph. Through drop-in sessions, I supported students with a variety of crises. I was responsible for locating proper university and community resources for each student's hardships and facilitated active and supportive conversations around academic stress, familial hardship, imposter syndrome, suicidal ideation, loneliness, relationships, and student life.

As an undergraduate student, I was eager to delve into my passion for psychology. At the University of Guelph, I had the privilege to develop my counselling skills through the Student Support Network and its peer support initiative. I also gained 2+ years of valuable research experience as a Research Assistant within the Child Development Research Unit and as an Honours Thesis Student.

Assisted in a child psychology lab as a volunteer research assistant during the Winter 2022 semester. The Child Development Research Unit (CDRU) focused on child risk psychology and assessing child safety. As a CDRU research assistant, I conducted live research studies with both child and adult participants, reviewed data analysis, performed coding/scoring, assisted in participant recruitment, and completed other administrative duties.

Completed an independent research internship in the Child Development Research Unit (CDRU) for the fall 2021 semester. As a research intern, I oversaw and assisted in laboratory research while also developing a research proposal on child risk and safety. My final project looked at young adolescent males, and their risk assessment of swimming while intoxicated.

As a Research Assistant at The Salvation Army (Summer 2024 contract), I support module and program development through researching Program Planning, Grief and Loss, Ageism, as well Dementia Care models. By compiling detailed reports with literature and statistical data, I help provide the framework for developing educational models on these topics.

Worked one-on-one with clients from all socioeconomic backgrounds to provide guidance, information, and tools to help clients meet their career goals. I assisted individuals in finding personal support, such as counselling services, financial assistance, and other community resources based on their needs.
