I help students, faculty, and community members check out books and research materials, coordinate and run library programs, and organize the library’s stock. I have also been working to reorganize the college’s archives in the library basement, including digitizing materials from 1867 to the present and making them accessible to library users.

I helped guests make the best decisions regarding buying merchandise and having the most magical day ever, answering their questions, offering help, and leaving them with incredible memories. I am proud to say I worked a shift in every Walt Disney World park.

I was an instructor and counselor for children ages 2-5 at the summer camp, my favorite parts of the job reading them stories, getting them excited about learning, and letting their imaginations run wild.

I purchased library materials and utilized both online and in-person resources to make students and faculty aware of their significance. I assessed current collections–helping to order new books of interest–and organized new displays which pertain to students’ interests, including “Book of the Month” and “You’ve Got to Read This” displays.

I help students at the User Services Desk, answering their questions, as well as checking out, finding, and reshelving books. In the most recent year, I worked in the Stacks as well, specifically utilizing my knowledge of the Library of Congress Call Number System to reshelve books, films, and library devices.

I held an intern position in the Special Collections department of the library, learning how to interact and research antiques and historical books, conserve and catalog, and shelve library documents and digitizations as an archivist.

It fell to me to keep a record of anyone who had received teaching or sacraments at the church, as well as write up any notable information for incoming students of the religious education program. I answered questions about upcoming programs and made people feel more welcome.

I worked in the museum portion of the Jane Austen Centre, funneling questions from visitors from dozens of countries about Austen and her works. Upstairs in the tea room, I learned how to serve patrons with a smile on my face and bring about a pleasant environment.
