One of the most frustrating challenges confronting 21st-century leaders is connecting frontline employees to their organization's mission and strategy. For more than three decades, I have been doing just that.Along the way, I've unified dispersed and global workforces for start-ups, global brands, and everything in between from fast-growing start-ups like Avelo Airlines to customer-obsessed brands like JetBlue to global leaders like Delta Air Lines, transforming teams and organizations into high-performing movements.◆ For Delta Air Lines, I led a comprehensive re-design of the airline's premium international onboard service including all product offerings, service delivery, and training. This was achieved through a transformative change management program uniting over 8,000 flight attendants elevating customer satisfaction from 7th to 1st position within 90 days. ◆ For JetBlue Airways, I led a multi-year, cross-functional strategic initiative focused on culture and employee engagement improving customer and employee satisfaction scores by more than 35% and helping to earn the JD Powers & Associates award for the highest customer service for nine consecutive years.◆ At Avelo Airlines, I orchestrated and integrated people, service, and operational strategies to build brand awareness and customer retention. In less than three years, the start-up airline flew nearly 5 million customers to more than 40 destinations spanning nearly 25 states. As a servant leader, I have done this by engaging, collaborating, and innovating with leaders and employees across the organization to build results-driven, inclusive, and values-based cultures.
