I also undertook several secondments to other positions, including rural policing and road policing. High-risk family harm calls made up a majority of the jobs Henderson Police were required to attend in this area and as a result I developed a high level of practical experience, risk assessment and decision-making capability under pressure. I further developed my communication skills as this role required me to deal with a huge range of individuals in often difficult situations.The role was fast-paced and high-pressure and required me to make decisions at critical, stressful and confrontational incidents.

As part of this role I wrote and carried out market research, veterinary surveys, identified a target audience and placement of the product, helped with the development of the policy and the decisions regarding what was to be included, developed promotional material, and communicated/worked with the graphic designer in the creation of the PetnSur Equine logo and brochures.I took on this role whilst still studying towards by Bachelor of Business Studies, and it was a huge opportunity to relate and apply what I was learning at university in the real world. I got the chance to understand concepts based on their application towards the development and marketing of this product and feel that it offered me an enormous learning opportunity.
