In May 2022, I joined Dame Zandra Rhodes' studio at the Fashion and Textile Museum as her leading press archivist. My primary responsibilities involve sorting, identifying, researching, digitizing, and preserving Ms. Rhodes' extensive fashion, press, and photography collection.As chief archivist, I've spearheaded the implementation of new organizational systems, notably founding a unique photographic fashion archive. These advancements have not only enhanced the efficiency of managing the collection but have also showcased its exceptional detail and accessibility.A significant highlight of my role has been collaborating with Mr. Hamish Bowles of Vogue on the debut fashion exhibition at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in Mumbai. I played a key role in sourcing press and garments from the archive for this event, putting the quality of our collection to the test. The success of this collaboration underscored the archive's meticulous curation and accessibility.In September 2022, the archive was honored as it was announced that the Zandra Rhodes archive would be acquired by De Montfort University library. This recognition speaks to the high quality and value of the fashion archive under my management, validating the meticulous work I've dedicated to this role.My experience extends beyond the studio, involving extensive liaison with cultural and academic institutions in an archival and curatorial capacity. I bring a proven track record of coordinating the movement of these precious materials, showcasing my commitment to preserving and promoting the rich legacy of fashion and textile history.
