Growing up in New York City, I have always been fascinated by the intersection of people, place, and technology. As a former dancer, I used to base my choreography on the people who pass each other on city streets or sit next to each other on city buses everyday, and the unfamiliar becoming familiar. I particularly care about all things relating to defining 'place,' including placemaking and city growth, be that through culture, food, politics, or physical space, as well as healthcare and health technology. This interest has driven my career, my education, and my travels.Now living in Detroit, I am Lead Service Designer for Cities Reimagined, where I craft innovative solutions that redefine urban living. Prior to CR, I was an Associate Consultant at Slalom while simultaneously in an entrepreneurship fellowship.My path to get here has been far from linear. My classrooms and offices have ranged from the Colorado mountains and a Mexican beach, to a small room with four members of Congress and the New York City skyline as our backdrop. I left high school early to begin college, took two gap semesters to work and travel, and spent a few years in there pretty sick, which completely re-shaped my worldview.Everything I do is driven by my sense of curiosity, passion, and (calculated) adventure.
