The role of the Engagement Lead is to be the bridge between the infrastructure delivery organisation and the BT lines of Business to ensure that the business has access to the right products and services. Currently engaged in the delivery of PCI compliance for a number of BT systems which include the deliver of a new set of BT PCI compliant standard tools and migration of the BT service to consume these new tools.

Involved in transformation of application into BT datacentres. Supporting the transformation planning, escalation management and development of the operation model for the future.

• The single point of contact in the UK for all Dynamic Cloud installation and migrations• Responsability for setting up the migration team to take customer CMO environments and transform into FMO environment. FMO environments can be virtulised environment or traditional classic environments.• Ensuring transformations activites are planned, implemented and sucessfully handed over to operations.• Order and implementation support for all new hardware (Server, Storage and Network components• Responsible for the establishment and management of the migration teams who carry out the planning and migration of customer application from Classic environments to Dynamic environment.• Development of process to enable end to end order management, environment delivery and cost recovery in the UK in collaboration with the international delivery units.• UK liaison with international delivery unit for all Dynamic implementation activities.• Customer communication programs to ensure that Dynamic solution proposed actually meet the needs of the customer and education around the Dynamic environment this involved running various workshop and customer meetings.• Cost centre management including budget management for staff cost centre and internal cost recovery management for delivered services.

• Development of process to enable end to end successful project delivery, both in the UK and internationally• Management of a team of engineers across various technologies to deliver full end to end project delivery• Continues development of the off shore support teams through the development of education programs and on site support programs.• Day to day team management including staff development and staff motivation by effective performance management.• Identifying and implementation of cost saving activities including the implementation of a redundancy program, identification of further UK activities to be off shored and the movement of these activities and by driving down the vendor 3rd party support costs.• Security and compliance management (SOX, PCI) through evaluation of infrastructure security requirements and developing process and procedures to meet these requirements. • 3rd party supplier management and contract negotiation..

I am responsible for implementation of all unix projects (Sun, HP, AIX and Linux) for T-Systems. This included internal projects, operating systems upgrades, patching, infrastructure redesign or customer driven projects.As well as being responsible for project delivery I am also responsible for the day to day managment of the team of 10 people so this included all the usual managment responsabilities.

This position involved working with the developers, installation and build of new system, day to day support of the development systems.I left this position due to the IT department being out sources
