After a nine-year career as a professional ballet dancer followed by 34 years working in public affairs, I retired from full time employment In January 2022. This allowed me to embark on my third career as a teacher of English as a Second Language for adult learners. Like classical ballet and public affairs, teaching English is a form of communication in which I combine my love of language, ability to convey ideas, and ease with performance to create a dynamic learning environment. I have taught general English to students from beginner to advanced (A1-C2) in language schools in the United States and Mexico. I’ve also taught business English in a school and for a private company. My classes have been in person and online. In my three years as a teacher, I have received my Cambridge English Language Teaching Assessment certificate, Teaching Business English certificate from Teaching House and completed specialized courses, including how to teach grammar. I anticipate completing my training in teaching the TOEFL exam in January 2025.
