At Spotify, I’ve had a rewarding career as a Staff Design Manager. I’ve led major initiatives and product launches at Spotify as both an individual contributor and as a manager of teams. At Spotify, I also hired our writing team, managed and mentored them, and moved on to managing product designers.

As a UX Writer at Airbnb, I helped create delightful, usable experiences for our guests. Led content strategy efforts, reviewed the work of several writers, owned my team’s content standards, and contributed to projects that have multiplied my team’s growth metrics year over year. Was also actively involved as a lead in Juntos, a Latinx organization of Airbnb employees that worked together to support underrepresented minorities in our community.

Considered research, design, and branding as well as information architecture to help build high-performing digital experiences. Clients included Apple, Google, Chipotle, and Facebook, among others.

Collaborated on the Product and Marketing teams to optimize app, email, and web content. Editor for My Sanford Magazine; a community publication for the city of Sanford. Worked with the team to organize content, edit layout, and promote. Freelanced with recurring contract.

An independent online magazine that touches on fine art, social discourse, and fiction. It was a great pleasure to write for this magazine.

Worked in high-traffic stores in Orlando and London, including the flagship store in Covent Garden during the 2012 Summer Olympics. Recommended products to customers based on their needs and interests. Trained new customers on setting up and using their new devices.

Interact is a lifestyle magazine with a wide range of articles including sections on politics, interviews, music, and culture. Wrote and developed articles; worked with designers to organize layout.

Worked with a team of editors for In London and London Planner—widely read luxury publications distributed to London’s elite hotels. I compiled information, edited, and wrote articles for this publishing house and worked closely with PRs for materials on stories about featured ads and restaurants.

Covered latest news and events, including the American Idol nominations, Magic game playoffs, and new restaurant/bar pieces. A subsidiary of the Orlando Sentinel, Metromix is an online guide for the best restaurants, bars, and events in the city.
