Provide casework, services and resources to families entering the legal system. Actively monitor, interview, assess and plan to address the allegations and permanency for the children. Refer services to address the desired changes and safety, identify internal and community resources, contact and coordinate with public services. Assist families in completing adoptions, including adoption preparation, paperwork, subsidy eligibility, attending and preparing adoption consummation reports. Maintain contact and relationships with all legal parties including court appointed attorneys and the District Attorney’s office. Appear and testify in court on behalf of the Department, families and children. Prepare families for court proceedings and providing support for and during court proceedings. Complete and file court reports on behalf of the Department.

Recruited, developed, verified, monitored and supported families seeking licensure to foster. Tracked families, obtained and tracked documents and trainings for licensure. Interviewed and conducted home studies and home fire and environmental inspections. Trained families on caring for abused and neglected children, provided resources and ongoing support to families.

Provided casework and clinically counseled youth, young adults and their families. Provided internal and external resources including for, but not limited to abuse, rape, education, substance abuse, pending criminal charges, housing and mental health. Created and implemented clinically based treatment and safety plans.
