Founding The African Sisters Network is a story so close to my heart. Growing up as a young African girl, I believed I had the potential and capacity to achieve so much if I had the right mentorship and support.At 17, I was scribbling what I would call books, articles, and movie scripts. I vividly recall having notebooks filled with movie scripts, written from introduction to “Fin.” Between the ages of 19 and 23, while still on my journey of self-discovery, I tried many different things, like acting and pageantry.From 24 to 27, my life felt like a hurricane, moving from one job to another banking, e-commerce, marketing agencies, events management, and more. Now I understand I was simply trying to find alignment and purpose. My journey has been filled with trials and errors, doing, undoing, and redoing. In December 2021, everything felt stuck, like I was living a life not meant for me. So I Googled “How to change.” What stood out to me from Google was: “Embrace your story and your journey.”That’s when I began writing my own story. As I turned 30 this year, I thought, why not create a community to support and mentor not just one or two, but many African girls and teach them how to to confidently tell their stories and pursue their dreams. Thus, The African Sisters Network was born, a coaching community that empowers African girls to tell their stories boldly and unapologetically while connecting them to the tools, resources, and opportunities they need to succeed.I believe there are many talented African girls out there with the courage and capacity to achieve so much, but they often lack the support to show them the right direction. I don’t want them to wake up at 28 like I did, feeling like it’s too late or, worse, never waking up to their potential.I’m here to support all African girls between the ages of 18 and 28, teaching them how to share their stories confidently and connecting them with the resources they need to thrive 💕

OATS Consultancy is the holding company for MOZO TV Zambia, The OATS Experience and Platinum Events Africa. As Platinum Events Africa, our debut project in Uganda was The Uganda Music Awards 2017 and later Africa Hiphop Awards (AHA) in 2018. We later dived into corporate events and production with a number of brands like Multichoice Uganda, MTN Ayo and Airtel TV.- Developed and executed communications strategies to support the brand’s goals and objectives, increased media coverage through successful outreach efforts and relationship building with key journalists in Uganda and Kenya.- Managed the communication strategy for a number of high-profile events, resulting in positive media coverage and increased attendance. Some of these are The Uganda Music Awards 2017, Africa Music Awards (AHA) and Africa Music Business Dialogue.- Provided communications counsel that led to successful stakeholder engagement and support for a major organizational change after the Covid-19 lockdown in 2021.- Developed and executed a crisis communications plan that effectively mitigated negative media coverage and protected the organization's reputation after our first project which is currently on hold.- Coordinate launch program activities such as press events and presentations, satellite media tours, radio media tours etc for our brand and partner events or productions. - Craft and edit various types of content, such as press releases, speeches, and presentations for events or media purposes.

MoTIV creates a space where makers can refine and scale their businesses to meet the demands of local and international markets. It provides creatives with the opportunity to access factories, community, a tribe and a marketplace where they sell their products.- I was incharge of the operational systems, processes, day to day management, stakeholder management, long term planning, quality assurance, feedback loop, business development, team synergy, and infrastructure management of the space. My role involved anticipating and tracking operational and tactical risks and providing strategic solutions to address these challenges effectively.This was short lived because being a creative and interacting with entrepreneurs on a daily opened my eyes to the bigger picture of finding my purpose and creating my IDEA.

- Was in charge of setting goals and developing plans for business and revenue growth. Researching, planning and implementing new target market initiatives. I grew the company’s revenue by 150% and also signed our first monthly retainer client on a two years contract.- Led the strategy and execution of both PR and marketing campaigns, digital content and media buying for some of our top clients like Lipalater, Chamberz Lounge & Restaurant, Vicland Distributors, Cielo Lounge and Teheca Ltd.- Negotiated vendors like radio stations, televisions and billboards on behalf of clients while maximizing profit for the agency.

- Was in charge of client portfolio management, strategic planning, stake holder engagement working as the lead point of contact for any matter relating to client needs. - Identified new opportunities to increase profitability of the organization while helping the sales team cross-sell the different company products and services. I increased revenue development in Uganda from 85% to 128% of sales objectives from account retention.

-Acted as a representative of Jumia Key Accounts, maintaining relationships and building partnerships with top brands and vendors.- Managed contract negotiations to establish strong working relationships with restaurant partners like Nanjing Hotel, Tasty, Java House to mention but a few.- Played the role of an advocate for the Jumia Food managerial decisions to the vendor. Driving growth and revenue by ensuring that we had the right products at the right places and recommended product/ vendor ideas supported by the different markets.

My roles and responsibilities majorly rotated around cross selling bank products like loans, insurance, bid bonds and accounts while delivering utmost customer service. Sourcing deposits, bringing on board new clients and maintaining a good relationship with old ones.

Served customers by completing account transactions, receiving deposits and loan payments, cashing cheques, issuing savings withdrawals, and recording night and mail deposits. Enrolled customers for different platforms like Biometric, internet banking and mobile banking while maintaining utmost good customer service.

One of the major events I handled was the Club Music Awards 2017 under the supervision of Club Pilsner (Nile Breweries Ltd) and Moringa Ogilvy.Was in charge of liaising with the different industry stakeholders, negotiating suppliers, handling logistics, managing budgets and invoicing, organizing accreditation and presenting post-event reports.In PR, I was in charge of writing and producing presentations and press releases, organizing and attending promotional events such as television interviews, press conferences and radio interviews.Handling daily updates on all social media pages and dealing with inquiries from the public, press and related stakeholders.
