On a general level, my role was to assist in the development of an information and knowledge management capability, to drive a cultural change programme across the firm and to champion KM best practice. Specifically, I oversaw the firm’s “knowledge fee earners” in the development of their teams’ know-how folders, which included precedents, practice notes and toolkits. I ensured that fee earners, clients and external contacts were kept up to date on changes within the law, using a variety of methods, such as blogs, emails and hard copy newsletters. I undertook a variety of legal, business and other research. My work also impacted upon office procedures, such as experts lists. I was closely involved with the development of KM strategy, within the bounds of the firm's overall strategy.

As well as general commercial litigation work, I represented residential and commercial landlords and tenants on a variety of matters, such as lease renewals, possessions, dilapidations claims and leasehold enfranchisement. I advised and represented clients in all manner of real property disputes, in particular boundary disputes, right of way disputes and claims pursuant to overage provisions.
