Allendale UMC is a social justice, anti-racist, LGBTQ-affirming congregation. - Collaborated with community leaders by representing the organization in monthly coalition meetings, organizing community events such as PRIDE Events, organizing and speaking at Racial Justice demonstrations, and leading Anti-voter suppression campaigns. - Recruited and managed a team of 5 Children’s Ministry staff and 50+ volunteers through biannual trainings, monthly emails and meetings, and regular mentorship and pastoral care.- Facilitated in-person and virtual affinity groups for Black & Brown members, LGBTQ members, Parents & Caregivers, and 20’s a 30’s group to build community and center the voices of historically disenfranchised member groups.- Mobilizing 50+ volunteers for monthly community engagement events such as PRIDE Events, Easter Egg Hunts, Christmas Pageants, and more; reaching over 500 families.
