The department has 10 Project Managers who are responsible for project management of global product introductions at engine assembly plants in Sweden, Brazil, and China. The department also provides guidance and help to other brands in the Traton Group in common product introductions.

Project Manager for new product introductions at Scania Engine Assembly. As a Project Manager, I am responsible for time, cost and performance for my projects.Examples of what I have done as a Project Manager:- Chairman of a global technical forum for engine assembly factories at Scania (Sweden & Brazil), MAN (Germany), and Navistar (USA).- Improved the processes for follow-up of project time plans, milestones, resource estimations, and economy and created Power BI reports for them. This has given estimated time savings of 1100 hours per year for my section that has 50 employees. This way of working has been presented and shared with other departments at Scania in Sweden, Brazil, France, and the Netherlands.- Been a Project Manager in the introduction of the new engine assembly line that will produce the main engine product at Scania. It was important to be able to handle many deviations at the same time without affecting current processes and deliveries to the chassis workshops. I have also provided engine assembly factories in Brazil, Germany, and USA with guidance in their introductions of the project.- Lead a project to improve the new generation of V8 engines. The project challenged the time plan by starting production at main V8 assembly line instead of prototype assembly line, which lead to savings of both time and cost.

Business Controller at Scania Engine Assembly with focus on investments, forecasts and pricing of engines. Examples of what I did as a controller:- Making forecasts of the factory's manning and cost, both for upcoming years and during each year as volume scenarios changed. The actual outcome was compared with these forecasts and followed-up together with responsible managers. The models, that are still used today, were built by me in Microsoft Excel.- Pricing of engines, including making a new model for this in order to be able to set a price on engines from the new assembly line in the future. I was also supervisor for a master thesis about product pricing.- Created a model that calculated the manning that was needed for different volume and product mix scenarios for industrial and marine engines, and how cost effective each scenario was. This model was later also implemented on the final flow processes (for example engine testing and painting).- Follow-up of investments, including for example forecast of spendings and managing them in the investment system.
