In 7 months, I've help 300+students with professional skill development including resume/cover letter writing, graduate school research, navigating the modern-day application process, job and internship searches, interview preparation and career/major exploration ensuring the student is prepared and ready to enter the application process with successful results. I foster relationships in the greater San Antonio, regional, and national employer community for the development of job and internship opportunities ensuring that the university is represented in a meaningful and influential way. I oversee planning of campus events and fairs in collaboration with the College of Education and Human Development and Dreamer Center ensuring programming meets stakeholders’ needs. I manage the Career Closet by developing a plan to reorganize the closet including revamping marketing efforts, establishing a mission and vision for the closet, and initiating the implementation of a new inventory management system resulting in a more efficient and impactful resource for students.
