At Frontiers, an academic research publishing company, I am responsible for creating clever user-centered design interfaces for the networking side of the company's website. My work consists of taking our business' objectives, our users' expectations, keeping up with ever changing technology in social networking trends to develop what can ideally be seen as the most optimal visual presence for Frontiers. I work closely with product managers as well as developers to make sure our product is seamlessly built from the ground up, this requires brainstorming, constant iterating and refining, developing prototypes and troubleshooting HTML/CSS if need be. I've also had the opportunity to create the UI and illustrations for our youth targeted peer reviewed scientific journal Frontiers for Young Minds: kids.frontiersin.org

I was brought in at Amazon Services to own the website’s visual design as well as user experience. I worked with department groups to create new pages and necessary visual assets while maintaining consistency, some of my responsibilities included providing wireframes and redlines, I worked directly with developers in India to ensure the proper publications of the layouts I created. If needed I provided HTML and CSS edits to fix overlooked and cross-browser related issues. Part of my work also included the design and coding of the different groups’ email marketing campaigns, specifically with banner ads, emails, landing pages and microsites.

Responsibilities: Art Direction, UI/UX Design, Front-end Web Dev, Design Production.Job Details:I was given a set of web pages designed in Illustrator in addition to basic brand guidelines for the next Ford EV consumer web portal and mobile app portal that came with it. Advertising company IDEO did the initial pass and I had to take their work as was, propose and create new pages, design elements following the basic established brand. I then had to put it all together into two 100 pages UI specification guidelines documents, which later come on to become reference for the software engineers and developers. The next phase of the project consisted in optimizing the Illustrator source files for web use. I then had to write standard HTML/CSS code for the front-end of the web portal, working with developers to troubleshoot any cross-browser/cross-platform related issues.

I am responsible for the designing and coding of a landers/emails/banner ads etc. that generate leads for the company by people signing up for Auto/Life Insurance.

Responsible for a variety of design tasks that included maintaining the intranet and website through a CMS, custom writing code for it. I was also asked to design and code emails, landing pages and microsites for the marketing department.

Working as a contract graphic designer in the concept design/art group. In this position I am responsible for a variety of tasks which can include design and develop Flash intro pieces for some of the video game's characters or work on various UI design elements.
