Scylla was founded by scientists from the Xylella fastidiosa genome project, the first complete sequencing of a plant pathogen. I’m currently interning in data engineering for bioinformatics at Boldrini Children's Hospital Research Center, Scylla's research partner.

Developed an automated RNA-seq gene fusion detection pipeline to evaluate the performance of current alignment-free methods compared to alignment-based algorithms. The pipeline was applied to both real and simulated pediatric cancer data, in collaboration with Boldrini Children's Hospital Research Center.Our work was a best paper contender, presented at the 17th Brazilian Symposium on Bioinformatics.

Coordinated a team at the Robotics Study Group to develop cost-effective Arduino robots to address the STEM deficit in Brazilian education. Our workshop was featured in two editions of the University’s Science and Art on Vacation event, reaching a total of 300 participants, and we visited six public schools in the Campinas area.

Participated in the XIX Latin American Robotics Competition RoboCup Open Flying Robot Trial League.
