Set out to develop the next-gen B2C fulfillment (i.e. e-commerce warehousing) network in Vietnam. Failed to find product-market fit in Vietnam market for two main reasons:- e-commerce in Vietnam is dominated by marketplaces such as Shopee, Lazada & Tiki who pre-allocates shipping carriers to orders -> lost revenue for fulfillment warehouse- warehouses are highly unregulated in Vietnam hence supply is abundant -> unable to charge a premium for warehouse. Plus since 80% e-commerce demand is in the two major cities, customers do not need a network of warehouses.Two rounds interview with YC W23, but was not accepted.

Identified opportunities in the marine construction industry due to sharp rise in demand for energy and infrastructure in Vietnam. Co-founded Tera Marine, which builds, owns and charters out specialized marine construction assets.Tera Marine is acquired by the largest shipping agency in Vung Tau, Vietnam.

Led HSL into a successful market entry into Vietnam through devising innovative strategies, navigating regulatory landscapes, and fostering strategic partnerships.

Managed the construction of the above project through a tight budget and timeline, leading to successful completion ahead of schedule and a healthy margin.

Key achievements: Performed optimization on the method of construction, and renegotiated two subcontracting contracts; which collectively was instrucmental to substantial cost savings and completion within budget.

Designed civil and structural works, including concrete and steel structures, and earth retaining or stabilizing structures (ERSS). Charged with the ERSS tender for Contract N105 North-South Corridor (Tunnel) and designed and supervised the strutting works of two projects in Hong Kong (North Point Estate 2 at Java Rd and Industrial Development at Kai Tak).

Analyzed and proposed a systematic management of materials after the deconstruction or demolition of a building. The proposal was pitched to and backed by the management of Eco-quartier de Saint-Denis, Paris and and the President of the French Association of Specialized Finance Companies (ASF). Presented the research to HDB Singapore as Final Year Project.
